Market participants noted a slow start to the week, with one Jakarta-based trader saying activity has been stagnant. A trader said that there was interest for 4,200 kc GAR material but that no new firm bids/offers had emerged so far. An offer was heard, however, at $23.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a September loading geared vessel. Further out, a relatively wide market for October loading geared vessels was reported bid at $21.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, against an offer at $24.25/t FOB, same basis.
Paper
M42, listed on SGX, was bid for September at $23.00 and offered at $23.50, while October was bid at $23.60 and offered at $24.50. Further out, Q4-20 was bid at $24.75 and offered at $25.95, while Q1-21 was bid at $26.10 and offered at $28.95.
