Enquiries for 3,800 kc GAR and 4,200 kc GAR material were still being supported, said Jakarta bases sources. Low-rank was heard offered at $38.40-38.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for slightly higher than standard sulphur cargoes, loading in geared vessels in May. Sources suggested more typical cargoes could be offered $0.50/t higher. Indeed, bids for more standard and premium cargoes were reported by suppliers at $38.00-39.00/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR.

 

Paper

M42 paper traded via SGX at $39.00/t for 20,000 t for June. Earlier in the day April was bid at $38.00/t. A market for May M42 was bid at $39.00/t against an offer at $39.75/t, while June was also bid at $39.00/t against an offer at $39.75/t. July was bid at $38.55/t against an offer at $39.70/t. M42 spreads for May/June were bid at minus $0.15/t against an offer at plus $0.40/t, while June/July was bid at plus $0.05/t and offered at plus $0.65/t. (ends)
