A Jakarta-based trader said that they had received enquiries for various grades of coal but that no firm bids had emerged as yet. Several Indonesian producers said that the bid-offer gap for low c.v and sub-bituminous material remains wide, with buyers expecting a further decline in prices. A deal was reported at $35.80/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a July loading geared vessel. A deal was also being talked about at $36.80/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a July loading Panamax, although this could not be confirmed at the time of writing.
Paper
M42 paper, listed on SGX, was bid at $35.65 and offered at $36.55 for June. July was bid at $35.35 and offered at $36.50. Spreads for July vs August were bid at minus $0.20 and offered at plus $0.50. (ends)
