Another deal was reported for low-rank, done at $36.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for an April loading geared vessel. This is the same level as a deal heard earlier in the week, for the same vessel type and loading month. A bid was also seen at $37.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR for an April loading Panamax. Another offer was heard at $36.00/t FOB, basis 4,100 kc GAR, for a mid-April loading geared vessel.
Paper
Paper prices were little changed today in Asian trading hours, seemingly stabilising after a couple of days of softening. M42 paper, as listed on SGX, was offered at $39.00/t for March. A market for May was reported bid at $36.00/t and offered at $36.50/t for May. Further out, Q2 2019 was offered at $39.00/t while Q3 2019 was offered at $39.40/t. (ends)
