Market participants in Indonesia were commenting on how quiet the market is. Low-rank Indonesian material was heard offered at $38.00-38.50/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR, for June loading geared vessels and $39.00/t FOB, same basis, for a Panamax. The only bid heard for this grade was a Panamax loading in June at $38.00/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR. For lower c.v. material, an offer was reported at $30.00/t FOB, basis 3,400 kc NAR, for June loading geared vessels, with a bid heard at $29.00/t FOB, basis 3,400 kc NAR, for the same loading and vessel size. A bid was also reported at $27.15/t FOB, basis 3,700 kc GAR, for a June loading geared vessel.
Paper
Paper markets were largely unchanged, with only limited activity because of a Bank holiday in the UK. The best market reported for M42 paper, as listed on SGX, was for June, bid at $36.80/t and offered at $37.20/t for June. (ends)
