Physical
Prices for Indonesian material eased on the week as buyers in China began to retreat while Indian demand also failed to support the market. Trades for low c.v. material were heard settled at $28.00-29.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for November loading geared vessels. Last week, traded levels for similar material were heard at $28.25-29.50/t FOB, same basis.
Paper
Asian paper trading remained active through the week, although transacted prices were easing. Deals for M42 for November went through at between $29.00-29.55/t throughout the week but by the second half of Friday, sentiment weakened with deals cleared at $28.80/t, down from $29.50-29.80/t, in the week prior. December traded at $30.40/t before softening to $30.00/t towards the close of the week, compared with $29.55-31.00/t a week ago. Deals for January 2021 went through at $30.40-30.50/t.
