Trading activity was limited ahead of the New Year holiday. Chinese buyers were looking to get deals done, although Australia and Singapore were both quiet. Indonesian low-rank traded at around $33.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, which is down on last week's lowest reported trade of $33.80/t FOB, same basis. A Panamax out of East Kalimantan was also said to have transacted at around $35.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a late January, early February loading laycan.
Paper
The M42 paper, listed on SGX, traded at $34.10 for 10,000 t, up on the previous day's $34.00 transaction level.
Earlier in the day M42 was bid for January at $33.85 and offered at $34.25, while February was bid at $33.50 and offered at $34.50.
