Activity for Indonesian low-rank material was slowing as Chinese traders prepared for a national holiday on Friday and the Coaltrans conference in Shanghai next week. A deal was reported, however, from earlier in the week done at $37.50/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR, for an April loading geared vessel. Bidding levels were seen at $37.00-37.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR for an April loading geared vessel against an offer at $38.00/t FOB, same basis. Another offer was reported at $38.00/t FOB, basis 3,700 kc NAR, for an April loading geared vessel.
Paper
M42 paper, as listed on SGX, was bid for April at $37.50/t and offered at $38.30/t. Markets were also reported for May bid at $37.20/t and offered at $38.10/t. June was bid at $36.55 and offered at $38.30/t. Further out, Q3 was bid at $36.35 and offered at $38.55/t, with Q4 bid at $36.20/t and offered at $38.55/t. (ends)
