Physical

Coal suppliers in Indonesia commented on the sudden drop in enquiries from China today, which they believe is reflective of the impact that import quotas are having on buyer sentiment. Low-rank material from South Kalimantan was heard offered at $30.00-30.50/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR, for a July loading gearless vessel, while geared vessels in the same loading month were heard offered in the range of $28.10-28.40/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR. Bidding interest for similar material from the Indian market, however, was heard at $27.75/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR for cross laycan June/July loading geared vessels. A mid-June loading Supramax from South Kalimantan was offered at $27.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR.

 

Paper

M42, listed on SGX, traded at $27.00 for June, down on yesterday's traded level of $27.25. Afterwards, June was bid at $26.50 and offered at $$27.00, with July bid at $26.50 and offered at $28.00. Further out, Q3-20 was bid at $27.50 and offered at $28.00, with Q4-20 bid at $27.85 and offered at $29.00.
