A lack of Indonesian supply has resulted in somewhat of a quiet market, although it is understood that there have been enquiries from China for cargoes loading in the second half of May. "Transactions have been limited because there aren't many spot tons to go around," said a Jakarta-based trading source, who added, "But it's not a reflection of a lack of demand, which remains firm." It was a quiet day for Paper trading in Asia. During the day M42 was bid at $51.00 for May and offered at $58.50, while June was bid at $50.50 and offered $54.50. July was bid at $48.00 and offered at $53.00, with August bid at $49.00 and offered at $53.00. A spread for June vs July was bid at M42 plus $1.50 and offered at plus $2.50. July vs August was bid at plus $0.50 and offered at plus $2.00, and August vs September was also offered at plus $0.50 and offered at plus $2.00.
