Physical
With China on a national holiday and Indian buying activity already very limited, little spot activity was heard in Asian thermal markets. For low-rank, a market for a May geared vessel loading in May was heard bid at $28.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, against an offer at $32.65/t FOB, same basis. A very prompt loading Panamax was also heard bid at $30.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, and offered at $31.50/t FOB, same basis.
Paper
It was a slow start to the week for paper markets in Asian trading, with little change reported to last Friday's closing levels. M42, listed on SGX, was bid for April at $30.50 and offered at $31.20. May was bid at $29.25 and offered at $31.60, while June was bid at $29.25 and offered at $31.85.
