Business has been slow for Indonesian cargoes so far this week. Buyers and sellers have been struggling to reach agreement on price levels so far this week, amid further weakening sentiment and prices coming close to, or falling below, production costs - especially for low-rank material. Bids were reported at $31.00-31.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for August or September loading geared vessels. An August loading Panamax was understood to be offered at $33.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR.
Paper
M42 paper, listed on SGX, was bid for August at $32.50 and offered at $33.30, with September bid at $32.45 and offered at $33.05. Further out, Q4-19 was bid at $32.30 and offered at $33.80, with Q2-20 bid at $33.00. Spreads were reported for August v September bid at plus $0.05 and offered at plus $0.35, with September v October bid at flat $0.00 and offered at plus $0.20.
