Physical
Interest for Indonesian was seen increasing late last week, with low-rank prices picking up after a softening in the first half of last week. A Panamax was understood to have transacted at $34.25/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for late January loading, on Friday evening. However, for February loading, offers were being reported today at $34.50-35.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, against bids around $33.50-34.00/t FOB, same basis. For geared vessels, bids were reported at $33.00-33.75/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a January loading shipment. A February loading geared vessel was heard bid at $33.35/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR. A different cargo was also heard bid at $33.75/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a Supramax loading in February, with an offer against at $34.50/t FOB, same basis.
Paper
M42 paper, listed on SGX, traded at $34.05 for January, $34.10 for February and $34.35 for March. Following the deals, January was bid at $33.65 and offered at $34.30. February was bid at $33.75 and offered at $34.40, while March was bid at $33.80 and offered at $34.75. Further out, Q2-20 was bid at $33.00 and offered at $35.00.
