Market activity was limited for Indonesian cargoes, with market participants keenly awaiting some sign of price direction to emerge from the Coaltrans conference in Shanghai before engaging. That said, some prices did come to light. A deal was said to have been done at $38.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a prompt loading geared vessel, although this could not be confirmed at the time of writing. A Panamax was offered at $39.25/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for April loading. Earlier, a bid was reported at $37.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for an April loading geared vessel.
Paper
M42, as listed on SGX, was bid at $37.20/t for April and offered at $37.75/t. May was bid at $36.75/t against an offer at $37.65/t, while June was bid at $36.25 and offered at $37.90/t and July was bid at $35.25/t and offered at $37.85. Further out, M42 for Q3 2019 was bid at $35.50/t and offered at $38.25, while Q4 2019 was bid at $35.75/t and offered at $38.25/t. (ends)
