ShawCor Ltd. gets SSWJ Projects pipeline coating contracts

Canadian energy services company ShawCor Ltd. announced Tuesday that its subsidiary, Bredero Shaw (Singapore) Pte Ltd., has received awards with a total value in excess of US$30 million to provide anti- corrosion, concrete weight coating, internal flow efficiency coating, anode installation and custom coating for the South Sumatra to West Java Transmission Pipeline Project (SSWJ) Phases 1 and 2.

The pipe will be coated in Bredero Shaw's new pipe coating facility at Kabil on Batam Island, Indonesia.

The owner of the pipeline is PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN).

Bredero Shaw's clients on the two phases of the project include JFE Engineering Corporation, Nippon Steel Corporation and P.T. KHI Pipe Industries.

The pipe to be coated by Bredero Shaw includes: 376 kilometers of 32" pipe for Phase 1 which will transport natural gas from Pagardewa (South Sumatra) to Cilegon (Banten), Indonesia and 100 kilometers of 28" and 32" pipe for Phase 2 which will transport natural gas from Pagardewa to Labuhan Maringgai (South Sumatra) and from Muara Bekasi (West Java) to Rawa Maju (West Java).(alex)
