Shell inaugurates Jakarta?s first fuels retail outlet

Anglo-Dutch oil firm Royal Dutch Shell officially opened Jakarta?s first internationally-branded fuel retail outlet in over 40 years at Jl. S. Parman, West Jakarta. This follows the recent station opening in Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang last November.

Shell is the world?s undisputed leader in fuels technology, and we are keen to share our quality offering with the Indonesian customer. Indonesia is a key strategic market for Shell in the Asia Pacific region and we have a long-term commitment to invest in Indonesia in the energy sector, including the fuels retail business,? Bob Moran, Country Chairman Shell Indonesia, a unit of Royal Dutch Shell, said in a statement.

At this new site in S. Parman, Shell offers the much awaited high-quality Shell Diesel, in addition to Shell Super and Shell Super Extra gasoline with octane levels of 92 and 95 respectively.

The next Shell fuels retail outlet poised to open also in March 2006 is located at Jl. Warung Buncit Raya, South Jakarta.

According to company?s Vice Chairman for Business Development and External Affairs Wally Saleh, Shell Indonesia is also studying fuel distribution for industrial markets in Banten province. (godang)
