Shell Indonesia offering partnership for fuel stations

Shell Indonesia has launched a partnership program, called Dealer Owned Dealer Operated (DODD), which allows local business people to become partners of the company in opening and operating the Shell-brand fuel stations.
Through the DODO program, the potential dealers or partners can open a fuel station with requirement to own a minimum of 1,000 square meters of land with width of 25 meters.
The Head of Dealer Shell Indonesia Agung Saputra said those interested to become partners of Shell Indonesia is required to have advanced capital of Rp4 billion.
"We offers opportunity to local entrepreneurs to own and operate Shell fuel station business," Agung was quoted by Kontan.co.id as saying.
Shell Indonesia has been engaging in fuel station business in Indonesia since 2005. Until today, the company operates around 101 Shell fuel stations, spreading in Greater Jakarta, West Java, North Sumatera, Banten and East Java.
Agung noted the company is currently in the process of selecting partners who are interested to open fuel stations in Tuban (East Java), Cirebon and Karang Tengah.
Under the partnership scheme, Shell provides technical support and equipment needed, pump, IT system, which represent 40 percent of the total investment needed. (*)
