Shell names Darwin Silalahi Country Chairman in Indonesia

Anglo-Dutch energy giant Royal Dutch Shell has appointed Darwin Silalahi as its Country Chairman and CEO. The company has also renamed its Indonesian subsidiary PT Kridapetra Graha into PT Shell Indonesia.

           

“The announcement underlines our commitment to developing our business in and this region,” Rob Routs, Royal Dutch Shell’s Downstream Executive Director, said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

             

Darwin replaced Bob Moran, who served as Country Chairman for three years.

           

Routs made the announcement during an event where the company launched the company’s global program “Safety Days 2007” aimed at enhancing safety at its operations worldwide. The program runs from June 5 through October 16 this year.

           

Darwin, 45, a graduate of the University of Indonesia , worked with BP before joining Shell. He pursued his study in Houston University and in the Harvard University . (Godang)
