Shell raises fuel prices

PT Shell Indonesia, an Indonesian unit of Anglo-Dutch energy firm Royal Dutch/ Shell Plc, has raised the prices of its high octane gasolines Shell Super 92 and Shell Diesel to Rp 6,300 (1US$ = Rp 9,300) and Rp 7,200 per liter, respectively from Rp 6,200 and Rp 7,100 per liter.

But the price of Shell Super Extra R95 is maintained at Rp 6,900 per liter.

Shell Indonesia?s spokesman Fathia Syarif said in Jakarta on Tuesday that the price cut is starting Tuesday night and it was made as an adjustment to the fall in the crude oil prices in the international markets in recent weeks.

Shell has 35 gas stations in greater Jakarta and one in Surabaya. (*)
