Siak Regency signs MoU with PGN

The Siak Regency administration in Riau Province signed on Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with state owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) to boost the utilization of natural gas in the regency.

The MoU was signed by Regent Syamsuar and Danny Praditya, President Director of PT Gagas Energi Indonesia (GEI), a subsidiary of PGN, the regency said in a statement.

In the MoU, both parties agreed to develop compressed natural gas (CNG) and boost its utilization in the regency as an alternative energy for transportation sector; as well as for to develop pipeline from Pekanbaru to Tualang as well as city gas project in Tualang district.
