Siam Cement seeks spot coal suppliers
Secures long-term contracts with Lanna, Indominco

Thai cement maker Siam City Cement Public Company Limited is seeking spot coal suppliers in Indonesia who are able to deliver 30,000 tonnes of coal per month, the company official told Petromindo.Com.
The official said that the company is looking for a coal with calorific value of 4,400-5,000 kcal/kg (AR). ?Every year, we have space for a spot market,? the official said, adding that the coal will be blended with high-rank coal from Indonesian coal miners.
According to the official, the company has bagged 1 million tonnes of high-rank coal per year under long-term contracts with East Kalimantan coal miners PT Lanna Harita Indonesia and PT Indominco Mandiri, a coal unit of Indonesia-listed coal miner group PT Indo Tambangraya Megah.
The official did not provide a breakdown of the coal supplies from each company. (denny)
