Siemens eyes PLN substation digitalization project

PT Siemens Indonesia is hoping it could win tender held by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN to provide digitalization technology for the GI Sepatan and Teluk Naga power substation in Tangerang, Banten Province.
?It is still being evaluated by PLN. We hope to be able to win the tender. For substation requirement we have a technology called Siprotec 5,? said Head of PS PG Sales Siemens Indonesia, Chismastanto to Petromindo.com on Thursday.
He said that Siprotec 5 is one of the digital grid field technology devices owned by Siemens Indonesia. The company?s digital grid field devices have been applied in PLN facilities and manufacturing companies in Indonesia, although PLN accounts for around 85 percent of the market.
