Sihayo obtains Amdal approval for N. Sumatra gold project

ASX-listed Sihayo Gold Limited last week it has obtained environmental impact assessment (or Amdal) approval from the Indonesian Ministry of Environment for the Sihayo Pungkut gold project in North Sumatra.
The company said in a presentation material that it is still seeking for approvals of other permits including construction and forestry, as well as other minor permits.
The Sihayo Pungkut gold project is run by PT Sorik Mas, in which Sihayo holds a 75 percent stake, while Indonesia?s mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk holds the remaining 25 percent stake.
