Sinar Mas seeks gas supply to support Jambi expansion

PT Lontar Papyrus Pulp & Paper, a unit of pulp and paper giant Sinar Mas Group said it was in talks to buy gas from state gas distribution firm PGN.

Sinar Mas Group Managing Director Gandhi Sulistyanto said as quoted by Investor Daily that the group would need gas to support its planned expansion in Jambi province.

He did not give detail about the group?s gas requirement.

Aside from PGN, the company also in talks to buy gas from several other suppliers, he said. (*)
