Singapore-based engineering and procurement specialist Federal International (2000) Ltd (Federal), said Wednesday that its subsidiary, Federal Hardware Engineering Co Pte Ltd (FHE) had clinched a procurement contract worth S$7.36 million (US$4.2 million) from PT Yudistira Haka Perkasa for the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) plant in Cilamaya, West Java.

Under the contract, Federal said, Yudistira appointed FHE to be the procurement and logistics agent in Singapore. The contract would be completed by end October 2003.

?This LPG Plant will be run based on a 'Build-Own-Operate' contract with Pertamina,? said Federal to the Singapore Stock Exchange.

According to Pertamina data, the North Cilamaya LPG plant is designed to produce some 120 tons per day of LPG, 17.4 million standard cubic feet per day of lean gas, and around 471 barrels per day of condensate. Natural gas to be used for the plant will come from Pertamina's Cilamaya gas field.

Yudistira is a local construction and procurement company. (robert)
