Singapore?s Keppel gets barge upgrading contract from Apexindo

Singapore firm Keppel Corporation Limited said Monday its offshore and marine unit Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd had clinched contract from Indonesian drilling contractor PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk to upgrade its swamp barge.
Apexindo's Maera barge will undergo a six-month refurbishment, Keppel said in a statement.
Keppel said the barge will be used for TotalFinaElf E&P Indonesie?s oil and gas exploration in East Kalimantan.
Keppel provided no details about the value of the Maera barge upgrading contract, but it said it was one of the several contracts it had clinched. The contracts were valued at S$72 million, the company said. (robert)
