Singlurus sees production to reach 3MTPA in 2010

Director Ludi Prasetyo said the company had currently entered construction stage with initial production is expected to reach 700,000 tonnes in the first year, ramping up to 3MTPA in 2010-2011.
Ludi said supply talks had been held with Thai firm Siam Cement, which indicated long-term demand of around 1 MTPA. Domestically, Ludi said Singlurus is eyeng to supply coal to Indonesia Power.
Singlurus is 65 percent owned by Thai coal miner Lanna Resources. Lanna said on Wednesday it had cancelled plan to sell 10 percent stake in Singlurus to Singaporean firm Pan-United Investments Pte Ltd.
Singlurus is a third generation coal concession holder located in the Kutai Pasir and Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, which is believed to hold approximately 25 million tons of mineable coal reserves.(godang)
