Sinopec, Indonesian firm in marginal field development venture

Sinopec Southwest Company, a unit of China?s top oil firm Sinopec Corp. on Friday signed an MoU with Indonesian firm PT.Indelberg Indonesia to jointly develop the latter?s marginal oil fields in Southern part of Sumatra, Kompas daily reported Saturday.
Indelberg Indonesia is operating Benakat Block in South Sumatra through enhanced oil recovery scheme. The block is currently producing 1,500 barrels per day. The company also operating Lemang block in Jambi .
Indelberg and Sinopec had been involved earlier in jointly explore Sungai Lilin block in North Sumatra. (*)
