Sintra obtains new contract to supply transformers to PLN

Transformer maker PT Sintra Power Elektrik has recently obtained new contract to supply 11 units of power transformer each with capacity of 60 MVA to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.

?We obtained the contract in June for 11 units. Delivery will start in October of this year until February 2018,? said Marketing Communication and Account Executive at Sintra, Melania Bastian to Petromindo.com on Friday.

She said the company needs about three months to manufacture one transformer. Aside from power transformer with capacity of 60 MVA, Sintra also manufactures distribution transformer with capacity of 20 MVA.

She said that about 80 percent of the company?s transformers production are taken by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN. Private firm customers include PT Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper, PT Lontar Papyrus, and PT Wijaya Karya.

Sintra?s manufacturing facility located Newton Techno Park in Lippo Cikarang, West Java Province, has production capacity of power transformers of 60 units per year, and 12,000 units per year for distribution transformer.
