SIS, BIB in overburden removal and hauling deal

Coal contractor PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS) has signed overburden removal and coal hauling contract with South Kalimantan coal miner PT Borneo Indobara (BIB), an industrial source told Petromindo.com.

The contract is valid for 5 years from Feb this year until Dec 31, 2016 or the date on which the contractor must fulfill the obligation to carry out overburden removal of 47.5 million BCM and coal hauling from pit in phase I to stockpile of 17.4 million tons of coal.

SIS should also bring overburden removal of 12.3 million BCM and coal hauling from pit in phase II to stockpile of 3 million tons when the river can be navigated and licensing acquired by BIB, whichever comes first.

SIS is the main contractor to conduct coal mining activity in BIB from 2009 until 2014 with total volume of 10 million tons.
