Indonesia's third largest coal mining services PT Saptaindra Sejati (SIS), a subsidiary of IDX-listed coal miner PT Adaro Energy reported a 36 percent increase of net revenue to 192.2 million in 2011 due to the raise of overburden removal and coal getting volumes.
It said that the overburden removal increased 31 percent to 167.52 million bank cubic meters (Mbcm) last year with the coal getting volume swelled 37 percent to 22.65 million tons.
?SIS continued to prioritize AI, accounting for 57 percent of SIS?s total overburden removal or 95.94 Mbcm and 66 percent of total coal getting or 14.94 million ton,? Adaro said in its financial report to the IDX.
SIS, the second largest contributor to Adaro?s overall revenue said that the company introduced new and larger excavators and trucks at its Adaro Indonesia operations to deal with the shortage of skilled operators and mechanics.
