About 5-6 investors have expressed interest in acquiring the stake of Anadarko Petroleum Company in the Nunukan PSC in East Kalimantan.
?There are 5-6 companies interested (in the asset). But there is no deal yet,? Planning Deputy at the upstream authority BPMIGAS, Widhyawan Prawiraatmadja told Petromindo.com Wednesday.
The Indonesian unit of US oil and gas firm Anadarko is in the process of selling its upstream assets in Indonesia including its 35 percent stake in the Nunukan PSC.
Anadarko is the operator of the block, which is also 40 percent owned by Indonesian PT Medco Energi, and the balance is owned by Indian firms Bharat Petroleum and Videocon.
The Nunukan partnership in 2010 encountered approximately 133 net feet of oil and gas pay from Badik-1 exploration well.
