Six investors vie to finance West Sumbawa's acquisition of Newmont stake

Six investors will vie to provide US$109 million in funds for West Sumbawa administration to  buy a 3 percent stake in copper and gold miner PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (NNT), Investor Daily reported Tuesday.

 

The six investors are PT Danatama Makmur, PT Recapital, Credit Swiss, PT Newmont Indonesia Limited, PT Bumi Resources Tbk, and PT Dharma Henwa Tbk.

 

West Sumbawa's Regent Zulkifli Muhadli said in Jakarta Monday that the six investors, including PT Newmont Pacific Nusantara (NPN) represented by the company's president director Martiono Hadianto, had made presentation in a meeting in Jakarta last week. The meeting was also attended by the speaker of the regency's council (DPRD).

 

He said the result of the beauty contest would be presented to the DPRD and legal and business consultant Capriole Consulting help the regency in choosing from the investors. (*)
