Six new coal mining investors enter East Kalimantan

At least six new national investors have been given permits to develop coalmines in several areas in North Barito regency, East Kalimantan, Neraca daily reported on Wednesday quoting Regent Akhmad Yuliansah.

Yuliansah said in Muara Taweh, the capital of the North Barito regency, that the six investors had also been licensed to carry out feasibility study in a number of areas in the regency.

The six investors include PT Mas Hitam Mineral II, which will develop 20,570 hectares coalmine, PT Intimineral Indonesia Internasional (25,340 hectares), PT Sumber Mitra Jaya (17,530 hectares), PT Sarita Prima Coal (26,770), PT Kalimantan Energi Lestari (26,510 hectares) and PT Supra Bara Energi (4,019 hectares).
