Two South Korean firms, SK and Posco, have placed order for four cargoes of ex-Sempra LNG each from the Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua, while state owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) wants two cargoes.

The ex-Sempra LNG is the LNG which has been allocated for American firm Sempra but the Tangguh LNG plant may sell to other buyers with some compensation payable to Sempra.

Upstream authority SKK Migas is negotiating with the prospective buyers and the negotiation is almost completed, an industrial source said.

The 10 cargoes will be available for delivery in the fourth quarter of the year , but PGN is asking the two cargoes it has asked for to be delivered in the first quarter of 2015. The firm will use the LNG for its new FSRU Lampung.
