Upstream authority SKK Migas is targeting to limit natual decline in oil production at 0.2 percent this year, through various programs including development well drilling, well workovers, well service and facility optimalization.

Without all those efforts, the decline would reach about 21 percent, the agency said in a statement. Last year, natural decline in oil production hit 4.7 percent.

?Gas production meanwhile is targeted to increase by up to 4.2 percent,? SKK Migas Chairman Rudi Rubiandini said during an internal meeting on Thursday.

To help achieve those targets, Rudi said, the agency aimed to improve coordination among stakeholders. As one of its implementation, the meeting was also participated by representatives from institutions relevant to the oil and gas sector.

?We need a stronger coordination because we need supports from relevant parties,? said Rudi.
