SKK Migas approves POD for Saka?s Sidayu

Upstream authority SKK Migas has approved the Plan of Development (POD) for the Sidayu field in Pangkah PSC, offshore East Java, which is operated by PT Saka Energi Indonesia.

?(POD for Sidayu has been) approved,? Vice President for Government Relations and Social Responsibility at Saka, Purwanto Nugroho said to Petromindo.com on Monday.

He added that the production of the field of the field is planned as early as late 2019.

Saka, an upstream subsidiary of IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk, submitted the POD last month.

CEO of Saka Tumbur Parlindungan told this portal earlier that his company has made an oil and gas discovery at the Sidayu-4 exploration well. The Sidayu field is estimated to hold reserves of 300 million barrels of oil. The Sidayu 4 well was spudded in mid-January. In October 2015, Saka announced a significant discovery following the drilling of the Sidayu-3 exploration well on Aug. 17, 2015.
