SKK Migas approves PoD of Tiung Biru, Jambaran fields

Upstream authority SKK Migas has approved the revised plan of development (PoD) for the Tiung Biru-Jambaran fields Central Java.

SKK Migas Chairman Amien Sunaryadi said in a statement Monday the Tiung Biru-Jambaran fields are targeted to start production in 2019 at a volume of 227 mmscfd. ?It will reach peak production of 315 mmscfd in 2020,? Amien said after

SKK Migas said that total investment for the development of the fields is estimated at US$2.06 billion, of which $279.5 million will be allocated for six development wells, and $1.78 billion for production and supporting facilities.

Gas from the wells will be channeled to processing facilities (for separation and refining), the output of which will then be distributed to designated consumers, SKK Migas statement said. The condensate and water output would be channeled for further processing at nearby Banyu Urip facilities.

Tiung Biru field is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the giant Cepu oil and gas block jointly operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) and Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC). The Jambaran gas field is located within the Cepu block, which is operated by EMCL, a unit of ExxonMobil Indonesia. EMCL and Pertamina EP agreed in September 2012 to unitize both fields.
