SKK Migas bans officials from assuming multiple posts

Upstream authority SKK Migas has issued a new policy banning its senior officials from assuming other jobs outside the office including as commissioner at companies.

In a circular issued September 10, SKK Migas demanded officials who assumed board members at various companies to quickly resign from the post.

Internal Supervisor at SKK Migas, Budi Ibrahim, who signed the decree, told reporters that the move is part of efforts to help ensure good governance, ethics, and avoid conflict of interest at SKK Migas.

The new policy comes following the recent arrest of the now defunct SKK Migas chairman Rudi Rubiandini by the Corruption Eradication Commission on alleged bribery. Rudi is also a member of the board of commissioners at the giant state-controlled Bank Mandiri.
