Upstream authority SKK Migas carried out a reshuffle on Monday, replacing several deputies.

The move aimed to continue reforms in the agency, refresh the organization in order to achieve the targets of 840,000 barrels per day of oil lifting and 7,175 mmscfd of gas set in the 2013 state budget, interim chairman J. Widjonarko said during the ceremony to install the new officials.

He said the reshuffle has passed through a process approved by the agency?s Supervisory Committee and the decree on the reshuffle was signed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Widjonarko installed Lambok Hutauruk, previously expert staff for chairman, as Business Control Deputy to replace Gerhard M. Rumeser; Budi Agustino as Finance Deputy to replace Akhmad Syahroza; and Budi Ibrahim as Internal Controller to replace Priyo Widodo. Priyo, Gerhard and Akhmad now serve as expert staff.

The reshuffle was carried out at the time the agency is under the national spotlight following the arrest by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of its now-suspended chairman Rudi Rubiandini for accepting bribes worth US$700,000 from an oil trader.

Widjonarko said now is the right moment for the agency to take corrective steps to establish a credible agency that is capable to implement the public?s mandate. SKK Migas will be on the forefront to lead the industry into betterment, he said.

?With good examples and good will, let?s make SKK Migas free of corruption, collusion and nepotism,? he said.
