SKK Migas estimates lower LNG export this year

Upstream authority SKK Migas expected lower LNG export this year as more production are allocated for the domestic market.

?Export will continue to decline as SKK Migas gives more priority on allocation for the domestic market,? said SKK Migas spokesman Elan Biantoro as quoted by Kontan daily Monday as saying.

SKK Migas estimated that the country?s LNG production volume this year to reach 314 cargoes, coming from the main gas fields of Arun, Bontang and Tangguh. Of the total production, 32 cargoes are allocated for the domestic market, while 282 cargoes for export, which is lower than last year?s export of 318 cargoes. (*)
