SKK Migas gives awards to PSC contractors for exploration performance

Upstream authority SKK Migas has bestowed awards on 14 PSC contractors in appreciation of their meeting of exploration commitment in 2015 despite the oil price slump.
?This is an appreciation of those who met their commitment. Imagine that despite the oil price slump which even touched below US$30 per barrel, they were still fulfilling their commitment,? SKK Migas? Vice Chairman Zikrullah said on Thursday.
The awards are divided into four categories: Gold, Green, Blue and two other categories. This time, no PSC holders received the highest Gold award. ?Gold is hard to get. But, all try their best, it can be realized. We are seeking to find gold,? Zikrullah said.
Three of the 14 PSC contractors receive the Green award for having fulfilled technical discovery aspects. This category is also called Advanced category because they have surpassed what those in Blue category have achieved; and have technical discovery.
There are seven PSC contractors which received Blue award, which means they have fulfilled all their firm commitment, financial commitment and others.
Four PSC contractors received awards of two special categories.
