SKK Migas installs 36 division heads

Upstream authority SKK Migas? interim Chairman J. Widjonarko installed on Wednesday a total of 36 middle-level leaders as part of the efforts to rejuvenate the organization.
The 36 people, who were installed to be heads of division or sections equal to divisions, are still relatively young in age. They have been promoted to fill up strategic positions as part of the efforts to inject ?new blood? into SKK Migas so that it can move fast to meet stakeholders? demand, Widjonarko said during the installment ceremony.
He called on all oil and gas contractors and stakeholders to help the new young leaders in performing their jobs, while noting that all people in the industry are responsible for the enforcement of good corporate governance in the industry.
He said SKK Migas has set up a special desk to which all stakeholders can submit reports on incidences of or events which potentially lead to corruption, bribery and other grafts as part of the efforts to develop SKK Migas into a credible institution.
?We want to make SKK Migas and oil and gas upstream sector clean and free of corruption, collusion and nepotism,? Widjonarko said.
Widjonarko, officially Vice Chairman of SKK Migas, has been named the interim chairman of the agency following the arrest by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the agency?s now-suspended chairman Rudi Rubiandini for accepting bribes.
