SKK Migas? interim chairman installs new officials

Johannes Widjonarko, interim Chairman of upstream authority SKK Migas, installed on Friday three new officials into new positions on an interim basis to ensure continuity of service following the arrest of the agency?s now-suspended chairman, Rudi Rubiandini, by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Arief Riyanto was installed as interim gas commerce division head, replacing Popi Ahmad Nafis; Previously, Arief served as vice president representing Pertamina EP.
Arwan was installed as interim crude oil commerce division head, replacing Agus Sapto Rahardjo Moerdi. Arwan previously served as vice president representing PT Pertamina Hulu Energi.
Baris Sitorus was installed as interim operation support division head, replacing Iwan Ratman. Baris previously served as vice president representing Premier Oil.
The move was taken following the announcement by KPK on Thursday that it had asked the Directorate General of Immigration to impose travel bans on Popi Ahmad Nafis, Agus Sapto Rahardjo Moerdi and Iwan Ratman for a period of six months to ensure their availability for questioning in relation with the bribery case involving Rudi.
Rudi was arrested on Wednesday on charges of receiving bribes amounting to US$700,000 from Singaporean oil trader Kernel Oil Pte. Ltd.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has suspended Rudi and named Vice Chairman Johanes Widjonarko as interim chairman of SKK Migas.
