SKK Migas launches online oil lifting data platform

Upstream authority SKK Migas Head Amin Sunaryadi on Tuesday launched an online data platform for oil and gas lifting, reports said Wednesday.

?The lifting data is still limited to areas that produce oil and gas,? Amin said during the platform?s launch, which coincided with the Joint Convention of Indonesian Geophysicists, Geologists and Oil Experts in Balikpapan, as reported by The Jakarta Post.

Amin handed over the passwords and usernames of the online platform to the chairman of the Association of Oil- and Gas-Producing Regions (APDM), Awang Faroek Ishak, who is also the Governor of East Kalimantan.

Amin promised that any suggestions from the APDM regarding the system would be made public.

Awang said he appreciated Amin?s policy to increase transparency at SKK Migas, which has long been troubled by corruption. ?With the launching of the online lifting data, our demand for transparency has been met.? (*)
