SKK Migas monitors situation in Korea

Upstream authority SKK Migas, is closely monitoring the situation in the increasingly tense Korean Peninsula as an event of war between South and North Korea would disrupt Indonesia?s export of LNG to South Korea.

SKK Migas Chairman Rudi Rubiandini, however, told Petromindo.com Monday that if a war does occur in Korea, the shipment of Indonesia?s LNG would be hampered, forcing the country to look for alternative export markets.

He said that it would not be too difficult to get new markets in Asia amid rising demand. ?Various countries in Asia need quite huge amount of LNG. Therefore, Indonesia?s LNG could be absorbed.?
