Upstream authority SKK Migas, launches a campaign for all operational vehicles of oil and gas production sharing contractors (PSCs) in the country to switch from petroleum fuel to gas fuel (or known locally as BBG) as part of efforts to support the government?s gas-fuel conversion program.

Iwan Ratman, Head of Operational Support Division at SKK Migas, told Petromindo.com Thursday that in the first stage, the campaign will cover vehicles used in the headquarters of the PSCs.

He added that the switch to fuel gas has been started at the operational vehicles of PT Medco E&P Indonesia in South Sumatra.

In total, SKK Migas projected about 5,000 operational vehicles will be covered by the gas-fuel program.
