SKK Migas signs agreement with Solar Turbines

Upstream authority SKK Migas signed on Wednesday strategic agreement with US-based manufacturer of industrial gas turbines Solar Turbines International Co, under which the latter would among others provide equal discount rate for its products and services to all oil and gas contractors operating in Indonesia.

SKK Migas said in a statement that the strategic agreement was signed by SKK Migas Chief Amien Sunaryadi and Vice President of Customer Services at Solar Turbines, Juan Rojas.

Solar Turbines will also be responsible in maintaining supply of spare parts for its machinery being deployed in Indonesia.

?It?s not only aimed at cost efficiency, but more important is that this cooperation will increase national capacity,? Amien said in the statement, adding that SKK Migas is encouraging Solar Turbines to draft an investment roadmap in Indonesia to develop the country human resources, set up manufacturing facility, and turning Indonesia as its key market in the Asia Pacific region. ?The company has expressed its commitment ? to increase the use of Indonesia domestic components,? he said.
