Upstream authority SKK Migas targets 804,000 barrels per day (bpd) of oil production next year, lower than the target of 870,000 bpd set in the 2014 state budget.
Johannes Widjonarko, interim Chairman of SKK Migas said the agency only dared to set the target at such a low level since the national production now mostly relies on old wells.
Under the state budget, the national oil production was targeted at 840,000 bpd but SKK Migas said the realized output is projected to be lower than the target, that is 827,000 bpd.
According Widjonarko, SKK Migas also set a target for next year?s national gas production lower than the one set in the 2014 state budget, that is 6,853 mmscfd as against 6,939 mmscfd.
