SKK Migas to terminate contract of 7 PSCs

Following strong warning, upstream authority SKK Migas plans to terminate the contract of seven oil and gas production sharing contractors (PSCs) after they have failed to fulfill the obligation of carrying out exploration work at their respective working areas.

?There are seven PSCs. One in fact is not clear where its office is, and there?s no contact person phone number, resulting in lost of contact,? SKK Migas Deputy for Operational Control, Widiyawan Prawiraatmadja told Petromindo.com Thursday.

SKK Migas Chairman Rudi Rubiandini said that his office would terminate the contract of PT Insansi Alas Jatim, PT Brilian Energi, PT Harpindo Mitra Karisma, PT Northern Yamano, PT Bumi Harta Mukti, PT Fortune Energy, and PT Sarmi Papua.

He said that the PSCs have backed down from carrying out deepwater exploration works in the eastern part of Indonesia.
